You are worthy always, in all ways.

“Embracing YOU: An Advocacy About Self-Love and Self-Care”

  1. BACKGROUND:

  • Brief context and situational analysis – what’s the problem(s)/issue(s)?

The promotion of self-love addresses the widespread problem of low self-worth, negative self-image, and weak self-acceptance that exists in the society we live in. It recognizes how people often feel worthless or not enough as a result of societal pressures, unrealistic expectations, and constant comparing society.

Nowadays, people frequently have negative views of themselves due to their continuous dedication to perfectionism, which is driven by social media, cultural norms, and society expectations. Anxiety, desperation, low self-esteem, and mental health problems can all be brought on by this self-criticism. Furthermore, social challenges that negatively affect oppressed groups' sense of self-worth are common, which makes advocating that highlights self-love as a basic human right all the more essential.

  1. AIM:

  • What do you want/hope to achieve?

My advocacy aims to create a society that celebrates diversity, individuality, and self-acceptance. It encourages a supportive environment where individuals can openly discuss their struggles and successes related to self-love. It also acknowledges the urgent need to change the way society views itself, promote self-compassion, and inspire people to love and accept who they are. The goal of this advocacy is to provide people with the information they need to value themselves more, develop self-acceptance, and prioritize their mental and emotional health first.

  1. OBJECTIVE(S):

  • The Action(s) you will take in order to achieve the aim.

I plan to provide safe and supportive digital and physical platforms where people can access information, exchange stories, and have open talks that promote self-love. I'll also do webinars or seminars on why we should prioritize ourselves most of the time.

  1. TARGET(S):

-Educational Institutions: Partnering with schools, colleges, and universities can facilitate the integration of self-love education into curriculums, promoting mental well-being among students.

  • Who has the power to make necessary changes?
